James J. Buquet Pavilion Venue
The pavilion is available for wedding ceremonies, receptions, birthday and anniversaries parties, family reunions, crawfish boils, picnics, corporate dinners, employee gatherings, client receptions, church, civic, non-profit events, and much more!
The Buquet Pavilion complements the beautiful outdoor setting of the Southdown grounds with views of Southdown Plantation House, majestic live oak trees, open green lawns, and proximity to Little Bayou Black. The Pavilion and ten acres of surrounding grounds can accommodate hundreds of guests and offer convenience of modern facilities and ample parking. The 12,000 square-ft (approximately 125 feet by 80 feet) open-air pavilion features wood trusses, wood deck ceiling, dark green metal roof, ceiling fans, lamp-light fixtures, numerous electrical outlets, brick columns, brick enclosed restrooms and storage/service/kitchen commissary are with refrigerator, freezer and triple sink.

Rates do not include fees for required Security Officer/s or Insurance coverage. Rates are based on a 12-hour rental period for the Pavilion which includes your set-up/decorating and clean-up times.
The front porch of Southdown Plantation House and its Grounds are available to use with your Pavilion rental for ceremonies or gatherings.
Tables and Metal Folding Chairs and Setup of both are included in your rental. It is recommended that the Metal Folding Chairs are Slip-Covered for Formal Events.
