As a dedicated partner of Terrebonne Parish, we remain committed to keep Southdown Plantation and Museum, as well as our Event Pavilion and property grounds as a strong historical asset for our community. We stand true to our mission in the preservation and promotion of history, culture, and arts in Terrebonne Parish and are vested in raising the bar with additional growth and development.
Community Development
EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
We have been inspired by other areas of growth in our community and we join our friends and neighbors in having a great sense of pride in Terrebonne Parish. We have been working on several new and exciting ways to not only keep our local community engaged in events, but ways to promote tourism into our region by working with state level opportunities and other tourism organizations.
Operational Expenses
REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE
We still have a lot of work to do to keep our “Pink Lady” thriving, including projects and improvements around the property, as well as creating new opportunities in combatting the ever-increasing operational expenses such as the rising costs of property insurance. That’s where we need your help and are asking for your focused investment to become a Southdown Community Partner.
Property Enhancements
FACILITIES & GROUNDS UPKEEP
We have made tremendous strides through recent pandemic and storm-recovery challenges and are excited about this new “rebirth” of our museum and surrounding property. The monthly maintenance and upkeep of our properties demand attention and resources all year round. We are searching for partners who want to keep Southdown a beautiful part of Terrebonne Parish.
Thank you for your support!
